Dur Hospitality Takes Part in the Arabian Hotel Investment Conference In Ras Al Khaimah

Dur Hospitality Company participated as the strategic partner and Emerald sponsor of the 14th edition of the Arabian Hotel Investment Conference (AHIC) that was held in “Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah” Hotel, in partnership with “Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority”, in the presence of a number of leading tourism and hospitality experts.

On the sidelines of the conference, Dur Hospitality highlighted its 11 ongoing projects including Marriott Hotel and Marriott Executive Apartments in the Diplomatic Quarter -Riyadh. The hotel features 80 rooms and suites and more than 140 luxury hotel apartments, expected to be launched later this year, as well as the 144-room Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites in Jubail.

Dur also revealed the ongoing renovation work at Makarem Ajyad Makkah Hotel near the Holy Mosque, which consists of 411 rooms and suites, a restaurant and multipurpose hall, which is expected to be finalized in 2019.

The company also revealed its portfolio of projects under study and design. Those include “Yanbu Courtyard Hotel and Residence Inn,” which comprises of 90 hotel rooms and 60 hotel apartments, expected to be finalized by 2020, the expansion of Makarem Ajyad Makkah Hotel and Makarem Annakheel Village, and the expansion of the Holiday Inn Tabuk's wedding Lounge. The company also announced the completion of the preliminary designs for Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites in Al-Ahsa, which will include 60 hotel rooms and 60 hotel suites with recreational facilities.

The company's plans also consist of expanding its presence within the Holy Cities, as it aims to increase the number of rooms to more than 5,000, operated by its own brand Makarem hotels, in the Holy Cities by 2023, which is expected to have a positive impact on the company's growth and operations.

Commenting on their participation in AHIC, Dr. Badr Al Badr, CEO of Dur Hospitality, highlighted the importance of this conference, which comes in lines with the Kingdom's significant economic transformation in line with the Vision 2030. He said: “Our participation this year aims to highlight our strategy that focuses on expanding our presence in Makkah and Medina and targeting promising cities such as, Tabuk, Hofuf, Yanbu, and Jubail. He added, “We will continue to develop our offering, to provide the best services to our guests and enrich the Saudi hospitality sector with new innovative services.”
